Growing success of Petros & Paulos A. in the running world

Their progress has been outstanding: after ranking third in the UK in their respective events (Paulos 3000m and Petros 1500m) on the track last summer, their Cross Country season has been awesome and they currently are ranked first and second in the UK U15 age group.
They have been winning their age group in the London Metropolitan XC League races and in November finished 2nd & 3rd in the London Youth Games event at Hampstead Heath leading Haringey to a best ever 3rd team place.Even more impressive has been their running in the National McCain XC series which determines national rankings. In the three races so far in Bristol, Liverpool and, last Sunday, in Cardiff they have not been out of the top four places.
Even more impressive is the way in which they have made their own way to the Liverpool and Cardiff matches showing real maturity. They run for Haringey schools in the Middlesex Schools XC in February from which they should qualify for the English Schools’ Champs and then, hopefully the Schools’ International match. Paulos was voted Haringey Young Sportsman of the Year in November and both boys received awards as potential future Olympic hopefuls.
When you see them around you may wish to congratulate them. Talent like this does not come around often and requires serious self-discipline on their part to develop this along with their academic and examination potential. Encourage them!
The attached pictures show Paulos kicking to a narrow victory in Bristol and both boys with UK international marathon runner Scott Overall following their London Youth Games race.
