Sir Keith Mills Deputy Chairman of LOCOG visited Park View

Through participating in the Speakers4Schools and the Get Set Network we have been selected amongst a few other schools to receive a visit from an inspirational speaker. The founder of AirMiles and Nectar card Sir Keith Mills came to Park View and gave a motivational speech to our year 9 students.

Year 9 VIEWY forms have been selected as they are deciding their options very soon and we thought they will benefit the most from hearing Sir Keith's life story.

Sir Keith left school without any qualifications and his incredible work ethic has helped him through life's many challenges an allowed him to become a very successful businessman. He not only founded the AirMiles scheme and the Nectar card, but also led the London 2012 bid. He is now the Deputy Chairman of LOCOG and a Director at Tottenham Hotspur Football team.

Our year 9 students prepared questions for Sir Keith which he answered in a 30 Minutes Q&A session after his speech.

It was truly an amazing event and hopefully our students learnt that only hard work will get them anywhere in life.

A big thank you goes also to our always helpful Park View staff.

Video of the event will be uploaded shortly.
